Time Sure Does Fly!

I cannot believe it has been so long since my last post - Wow, I bet all my readers and fans are just beside themselves. Yeah. Complete dilirium, I'm sure. There has been so much that happened since I last posted (like Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Groundhog Day) geez o' pete. Where do I start?

Christmas was awesome! Mark and I flew down for a week for Christmas. It was a really busy trip but I had a lot of fun. I don't know how much fun Mark had, but he was a really good sport about it! When we got back from Oklahoma, we got our little puppy, Norman. He's a miniature dachshund. However, after only three days, he got very sick and was diagnosed with Parvo Virus. It's horrible. A lot of puppies don't live through it, but our little Normy did! He's a tough little boot, that's for sure. While we were tending to him, we received the horrible news that my step-father had been in a work-related accident and had passed away. We packed up the Saturn and hit the road. We were in Oklahoma for another week for his funeral. By the time we got back, Norman was as good as new! He is the most amazing dog. Two weeks later, I got another call that my grandmom Davis (my daddy's mother) had passed away at the amazing age of 102! This time, I went to Oklahoma by myself, since Mark had never had the opportunity to meet her. I was only there for a weekend, but it was so great to see all my cousins on my daddy's side. This was the first time since my Granddad Davis' funeral that we were ALL together. It was nice having the opportunity to catch up with them. By the looks of things, I was concerned that the year might not be such a good one, but it appears to have cleared up and all is well!

Norman just started obedience school. We had to give a lot of thought to whether we wanted him to go or not. He is, after all, special needs, and we didn't want the other kids making fun of him and his retarded toes. Ultimately, we felt it was the best thing for him. His first class went very well, and so far, we haven't been kicked out. We'll just have to see. Normy kind of likes to do his own thing and doesn't listen very well (at all). He's kind of like his daddy (ahem). He certainly has his mommy's attention span. He can't focus on anything to save his life. Bless his heart, I don't know how he ever completes a poop with the lack of concentration he has. However, no worries, pooping is one thing he has perfected (and ALL THE TIME). I seriously think he poops more than most big dogs. I don't understand where it all comes from. I think he got that from his daddy too. I will keep you posted ~

He's scheduled to have his manhood removed the Monday before Mother's Day. We will also be removing his retarded toes. I think this will be a real boost to his self-esteem. Well, one will cancel out the other. Neuter takes him down. Retarded toes gone boosts him up. Hopefully, he will see it logically: "I don't have my balls anymore, BUT I also don't have retarded toes." Keep your fingers crossed.

Mark has started a new job. It's in the computer field, but completely different from anything he's ever done before, which has been quite an adjustment for him. Keep him in your prayers. Keep me in your prayers while you're at it.

My CD is finished and in the works of being reproduced and packaged. I am hoping to have it by the time I come to Oklahoma for Mother's Day. It turned out ok. I am pretty critical of myself, so I quit listening to it because everytime I listened to it, I found more and more mistakes. I was making myself nuts.

Mark and I will be buying a house this year. That is so exciting for us! It will be great to have a place for Normy to run around and us too. We need more room. Well, I need more room. I have used up my share and Mark's too and I'm still looking for more.

Just a few more months until my birthday! Don't forget!!!!

Well, I guess that's all I will write for now. I am back in the flow and good to go. I will write more soon. I am getting my website up and running. Check it out:
